What is the NFHS?

The NFHS is the national governing body for High School sports in the US.

How do I become a member of the NFHS?

Call the NFHS at 317-972-6900, Dissinger Reed does not handle membership.

How do I apply for the insurance?

Excess Accident insurance and General Liability insurance comes with membership.
They do not have to apply for it separately. Optional insurance coverages can be purchased under the Additional Insurance tab.

How do I get a certificate of insurance?

Go to www.dissingerreed.com/nfhs and click on certificate request.

Is “Lost Game Fee” included in my coverage?

Game fee is not included with membership. Game fee coverage can be purchased by your association. Minimum Premium: $500.00. Application and additional information at www.dissingerreed.com/nfhs/supplemental-accident-game-fee-plan.

Can I coach/officiate adults, recreation teams or non-high school sports?

Yes, as long as the SPORT is recognized by the individual’s state high school athletic association. There is no insurance coverage for professional sports.

I’m having a camp/clinic or tournament; will my NFHS coverage cover me?

No, you must purchase the camp/clinic/tournament coverage by going to: www.dissingerreed.com/nfhs/camp-clinic-tournament-insurance-plans.
