Catastrophic Insurance
With today’s contact sports and extreme activities, both State High School Associations and individual high schools understand the value of both Mandatory and Voluntary catastrophic insurance.
What is Catastrophic Insurance?
- High-limit lifetime benefits for disabling injuries
- Covers the student during practice and play in a covered event, as well as, travel to and from the location of the event
- Covers the student for injuries which result in $25,000 or more of medical, dental, or rehabilitation expenses within two years from the date of the covered accident
The Voluntary Catastrophic Program
Protects your school district by providing insurance for serious injuries to students. Your school’s plan can be tailored to meet your needs and budget. Benefit limits can vary from one million to five million dollars per accident for medical expenses not covered by parents’ insurance. In the event of total disability, benefits such as, home remodeling, vehicle adaptation, college education and more, can be included.
Covers your student body (K-12) for school sponsored music concerts, field trips, recess (primary school), physical education classes, chemistry labs and shop classes. These activities are not covered by state high school association plans.
Can provide coverage for junior high and middle school sports in states where the association does not provide coverage.
Rates are based on activities or sports.
